Our BoroTruView Lampworking Glasses #533 features an anodized aluminum frame with an ultra-sleek wrap-around design. Spring hinges assure a secure fit and adjustable nose pads eliminate pressure points on the nose and create a non-slip fit. ANSI Z87 approved. Fits Large to X-Large head sizes.
The BoroTruView Lampworking Glasses #533 shade 3.0 lenses are made for the true lampworking artist. These lenses are specially formulated to offer excellent color recognition when working with colored glass while still providing UV, IR and Sodium Flare protection. The gray IR filter is color neutral so you can easily see the different colors of the glass and the heat being applied. These revolutionary polycarbonate filter lenses are much lighter than conventional laminated and glass products. If you are working with smaller pieces the BoroTruView 3.0 is for you.

Lampworking is a type of glasswork in which a torch or lamp is used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, as the modern practice no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.
