Starting from the initial design process, our team created our line of safety glasses so that you can be confident that your eyewear is offering you the maximum amount of protection.

Whether you are engaged in a construction job, woodworking, hunting, paintball, or sports, safety glasses are an essential part of your equipment. They can save you from catastrophic injuries and costly medical bills. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sets standards for safety glasses. They are tested to ensure that they protect your eyes from flying particles and harmful gasses. They also protect your eyes from harmful rays of ultraviolet light. Depending on the lens and frame type, they can provide you with a wide range of protection.

The most common lens material used in safety glasses is polycarbonate. This material is lightweight, shatterproof, and offers excellent impact resistance. In addition, it offers excellent optical clarity and superior UV radiation filtering. It is also available in different thicknesses for additional security.

Other types of safety glasses include prescription glasses. Prescription safety glasses are made with bifocal, progressive, and single vision lenses. These lenses are made to fit your eye shape and prescription, which make them more comfortable. They can also be manufactured with tinted lenses and multifocal lenses. They are also suited for people with presbyopia, a condition where you have trouble seeing clearly at a distance.

Prescription safety glasses are available in many styles, including wraparounds with anti-reflective coatings. They are also available in many colors and designs. Some of the higher end frames offer 100 percent UVA/UVB protections. Some are also available with adjustable wire core temple tips for a secure fit.

Other types of safety glasses include goggles. Goggles are used in water sports, woodworking, snow sports, and swimming. In addition to protecting your eyes, goggles also protect your entire face. Typically, goggles are used to prevent particulates from flying into your eyes. They are also tested for sudden impacts and against non-ionizing radiation. Some goggles are also tested against corrosive substances. They are then deemed safe to wear.

Safety glasses can also be designed with a bifocal reading segment. These glasses are also used for sport shooting, where you want to see clearly at a distance without sacrificing your vision. They also offer extra protection against chlorine sting and hazardous gases.

Some of the higher-end safety glasses are designed with integrated side shields. These shields can protect your eyes from flying particles, larger objects, and heat. They can also provide you with additional impact resistance, especially if you work in an environment that experiences high impact. They are also available with anti-fog coated lenses.

The frames of safety glasses should also be strong enough to withstand high impact. They should be made of high impact resistant glass or Hi-Vex. Alternatively, they can also be made with polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is impact-resistant and can be coated to offer scratch resistance. Polycarbonate is also available in various thicknesses for additional security.

When choosing safety glasses, make sure that you get one that is ANSI certified. This means that it has been tested and approved by the American National Standards Institute. You also need to be sure that your glasses have a maker’s certification mark on the lenses and removable side shields.
