Anti-reflective eyeglass coating.
Many eye care professionals strongly
recommend glasses with an anti-reflective (AR)coating for night driving. This ultra-thin film, made
from zircon and silicon,
reduces
internal reflections in the lenses. Unlike sunglasses or self-darkening lenses, which block some light,
AR-coated glasses actually transmit more light - about 8
percent
more. This improves vision at night and helps distinguish fine details duringtheday. Highway patrol troopers have reported better night and day vision and reduced
nighttime
glare with AR-coated lenses.
VS Eyewear would like to introduce Sheer
Vision. Sheer
Vision is a line of superior
quality, anti-glare filter glasses for the night driving
eyewear market. Our
company devoted the necessary time and resources to developing an Anti-Glare Eyewear product
that not
only does the job, but is the most comfortable and stylish night driving glasses
to wear.
Here's how we did it...Sheer Vision is
an enhanced polycarbonate plastic lens material
with a unique coating applied to both the
front and back
surfaces. The coating creates a unique physical characteristic on the lens that resembles an oily residue or a
drop of water
in a puddle. This unique
coating eliminates the glare while the enhanced
polycarbonate
material blocks the harmful UV light rays coming from the sun. These UV lights
are
normally very dangerous to the retina.
Not only do Sheer Vision products reduce glare and UV light intake, but our
state of the
art lenses ALSO reduce headaches that usually are caused by
prolonged,
unprotected
exposure to the persistent onslaught of harmful rays. This is why our night
driving
glasses are the only choice!
ALSO AVAILABLE:
You can also purchase yellow lenses with an AR
coating or a light Polarized grey lens.
Yellow lenses,
also called Amber by
many brands.
Because of its ability to make your
environment appear brighter,
it is commonly used in low light conditions. Like orange,
copper, and brown lenses,
it effectively blocks much of the blue light that can
cause haze
or reduce sharpness, thereby enhancing contrast and depth perception.
Not recommended for bright light conditions, or areas where accurate color recognition is critical.

The polarized grey lenses work great for the bright
lights coming at you in highway traffic,
but are a little dark for your back roads. This night
driving eyewear
effectively dims your
surroundings with minimal color distortion. Polarized glasses reduce glare
without
sacrificing clarity,
performance or durability. This feature eliminates eye
stress and fatigue from any surfaces that create glare.

The lens tint is a very relaxing transparent
Peach/Light Beige and offers both protection and vision enhancement. When you look through
these Sheer
Glare glasses, you will be shocked by the clear, undistorted color that you see. They preserve color and
filter out glare
and
harmful lights resulting in reduced glare and eyestrain. Squinting will be
eliminated and your eyes will be relaxed for more comfort. This lens is
designed for lowlight
conditions, driving during dawn, dusk, fog and hazy conditions. It is a very soothing and
relaxing lens tint.

Drivewear Polarized Transition Glasses
In the past, clear
eyewear was enough. In bright light conditions, polarized sunwear was enough.
This is no longer true. Today our lives are strongly influenced by the
automobile, which has changed the way we experience the outdoors. We need a
third category of lenses in our modern, automobile-centered world. Drivewear.
Drivewear lenses are capable of sensing and reacting to varying light conditions
both outside and behind the windshield of the car. From bright sunlight
accompanied by intense, blinding glare, to overcast inclement conditions,
Drivewear lenses provide the wearer with the appropriate visual solution.
Drivewear lenses provide glare protection through polarization and enhance and
protect vision through photochromics which respond to both visible and UV light.
By combining the strengths of two of the most important technologies in eyewear
today we have developed the lens of tomorrow, Drivewear.

TRANSMISSION
At low lighting conditions,
Drivewear lenses provide high transmission of light to
maximize the total information to all the eye’s visual
receptors. This results in maximum visual acuity at this low
lighting level. The high contrast polarizer removes glare
that would otherwise destroy vision in low light conditions.
In this stage Drivewear lenses are a high contrast
green/yellow color. Simply, there is no better designed lens
for either outdoors or while driving under low light,
overcast conditions. |

TRANSMISSION
During bright light conditions
behind the windshield of a car, Drivewear lenses provides
lower overall transmission to control light intensity for
optimum visual acuity. Drivewear lenses promote preferential
activation of the eye’s red cones (and to a lesser extent,
green cones) and result in the best possible vision at these
higher light levels. Drivewear’s high contrast polarizer is
absolutely essential behind the windshield of the car,
because it blocks out blinding glare, one of the most
dangerous of all driving hazards. Under these conditions,
the Drivewear lenses turn a copper color which many feel is
the optimum color for a driving lens. This unique
behind-the-windshield response protects against bright light
and glare and provides better sensitivity to the “visual
signal” that is vital for safe driving. |

TRANSMISSION
In outside bright light conditions,
the eyes’ visual receptors, the rods and cones, can easily
get “overpowered” and “oversaturated” with light. Under
these bright outside conditions the Drivewear lens is
designed for maximum filtration of this excess light. It
achieves its maximum dark color under these conditions. Here
again, it is important to provide maximum protection from
blinding glare, and only polarized lenses can do this.
Drivewear is designed to provide maximum comfort to the
wearer in these high outdoor light conditions.
